Quiet and green

Get in and experience: The first fully electric e-bus has been on the road since 2019. Since then, the e-fleet has been gradually expanded. Today, 21 vehicles or over 15% of the buses travelling for the ZVB are already electric.

Electromobility is part of ZVB's corporate strategy and is being expanded step by step. We have been investing in the e-future for some time now. Employees in the workshop and in the transport service have been specially trained in the new technology and the infrastructure on the ZVB site has been expanded with charging stations. E-bikes, an e-bike and car parking spaces with sockets are freely available to employees so that they can experience e-mobility for themselves.

Since November 2019, the people of Zug have also been able to get on board and experience it for themselves. The first e-bus, an eCitaro, has been on the road since then. Another three e-buses were added to the ZVB fleet in 2021. With the timetable change in December 2021, line 13 was fully electrified on a pilot basis and some e-buses were running on line 5.

In autumn 2022, the ZVB's e-fleet grew to 12 vehicles, which have been operating on various ZVB lines since then. Since the timetable change in December 2023, a total of 21 buses travelling for the ZVB have been electric. That's over 15 per cent.

Anyone interested can consult the ZVB timetable, where lines on which e-buses are in operation are marked with an electricity icon. Timetable by line ZVB | Zugerland Verkehrsbetriebe ZVB
