Travel assistance

Accessible travelling - that is our concern,
to make travelling with us as easy as possible for all our guests.

General

Passengers with a disability are authorised to take an accompanying person and/or a guide dog with them free of charge. The traveller with a disability or the accompanying person must be in possession of a ticket and be able to show the relevant ID.

Bus

Wheelchair: Please use the entrances marked with the wheelchair symbol: The majority of our buses are modern low-floor vehicles.
Persons with walking disabilities: Please use the door by the chauffeur. He can assist you personally and operate the door manually.

Railway

The Zugerberg Railway has a compartment specially equipped for wheelchairs and people with walking difficulties. You have step-free access to the Zugerberg.

Ship

The scheduled boats of Zugersee Schifffahrt and Ägerisee Schifffahrt are wheelchair-accessible. The MS Zug also has a wheelchair lift. This means that travellers in wheelchairs can also enjoy the view of the lake from the 1st floor.

Bus

Our drivers will be happy to provide you with the necessary route and timetable information. Our buses are also equipped with an automatic bus stop announcement system.

If you need more time to get on or off, press the blue pushchair button (if available) on the door. The driver can operate the doors manually and hold them open. No additional ticket is required for a pushchair.

Railway

The Zugerberg Railway has a compartment specially equipped for families with pushchairs.

Ship

Nothing stands in the way of a family excursion with a pushchair on the scheduled boats of Zugersee Schifffahrt and Ägerisee Schifffahrt.

Groups with more than five bicycles should book the day before on +41 41 515 58 00.

Transport and liability

On routes 601, 602 and 612, you can hang your bike (except e-bikes) on the rear hook of the passenger trailer. E-bikes must be transported inside the bus.

Loading and unloading must always be reported to the driver. The transport companies ZVB and ZBB do not accept any liability for damage to bicycles during transport.

General

The bicycle or bicycle trailer ticket for Lake Zug or Lake Aegeri costs CHF 5 and is valid for the whole day on the respective lake. The SBB Cycle Day Pass and the Cycle Pass are not valid on the SGZ and AeS.

Transport and liability

For reasons of space, no guarantee can be given for bicycle transport. In the event of a lack of space, the driver will decide whether to take the bicycles on board. The transport companies SGZ and AeS do not accept any liability for damage to bicycles during transport.

Tariff

The reduced fare applies to dogs.
Exception: Dogs up to 30 cm shoulder height (instep height), cats and similar tame animals may be carried as hand baggage free of charge in bags, baskets or other suitable containers.
