ZVB - quite a lot of professions

The ABC of our professions - automotive specialist, accountant, chauffeur. And many more. Our employees work in 25 professional fields.

Our advantages from A to Z

As a modern, fair and reliable employer, we offer our employees extremely attractive offers and opportunities.

Our employees can choose between a 42-, 43- or 44-hour working week and thus earn more holidays. Our lifetime working time model also offers the possibility to save up various time elements and use them at a later time.

Anyone who works in Zug or at our external depots in Menzingen and Oberägeri has one foot in nature. While swimming in the lake, on the road with the company's own e-bike or walking on the mountain. We also recharge our batteries during our lunch break.

In addition to the cantonal child and family allowances, our families benefit even more. We support employees with families with an additional, voluntary family allowance. A family with 1 or 2 children receives an allowance of CHF 150.00 per month. Families with more than 2 children receive an allowance of CHF 200.00 per month.

This is also the motto under which the members of our sports club meet in their free time. Over 200 employees enjoy biking, motorbike riding or ski tours in 6 different sports. Spending time with friends who also work shifts - we experience this and much more here.

We have concluded a collective labour agreement with the SEV transport workers' union. This includes, for example, five days' paternity leave and three months' protection against dismissal from the second year of employment. With daily sickness benefits insurance, we can guarantee continued payment of wages for up to two years in the event of illness.

Our salary system is transparent. It also takes into account an employee's individual performance and personal behaviour. We are insured with the Zug Pension Fund. We pay 60% of the contributions, the remaining 40% are paid by the employees. We can also decide to make more savings contributions.

Whether it's yoga, volleyball or Bodyfit - our employees can take advantage of a wide range of activities organised by the Zug Sports Office over lunchtime. Those who prefer to take it easy can relax in the relaxation room or make an appointment with the in-house masseur to get rid of tension. This is also possible at the ZVB.

Whether in the office, at the counter, in the workshop or at the wheel – our workplaces are modernly furnished and technically state-of-the-art.  Regular leisure planning also contributes greatly to well-being. We take employees' wishes into account when planning holidays and public holidays. We highly value a fair holiday system.

Our employees benefit from attractive travel discounts for themselves and their families. We offer a free employee GA travelcard for employees with a workload of 50% or more and a half-fare travelcard or a discounted employee GA travelcard for employees with a workload of 20% and 49%. They also benefit from further advantages with transport companies in Central Switzerland.

We are constantly expanding our expertise in the field of e-mobility and offer our employees various opportunities to familiarise themselves with electromobility. Feel the wind in your hair or tight calves... Our employees can rent our eRod electric scooter or an e-bike for private purposes free of charge – even over the weekend.

An S-Bahn connection directly in front of the building, Zug railway station is a 5-minute walk away, bus stops in the immediate vicinity. It's hard to get more connected. Our employees, who start work when the bus is not yet on its way, have free parking spaces at their disposal.

The "you" culture is very important to us: We are all on first-name terms in an approachable and uncomplicated way - across departments and levels.

We take you further

Vocational education and training are not only emphasised in our mission statement. Furthermore, we are convinced that active exchange can also broaden our horizons.

As an attractive employer, our philosophy is to support our employees so that they are equipped for their professional requirements now and in the future. The aim is to strengthen the social and personal skills of the employees. As a rule, we and our employees bear the costs of this together.

We offer part-time or full-time positions (80 - 100%) for lateral entrants, returners and career changers. In a three-month training programme, we will train you to become a regular bus driver, including the category D (Car) exam.

We offer our employees opportunities to meet up, experience something together and get to know each other informally in order to get ahead. Eating a sausage together while marvelling at the new ZVB bus, supporting the "Bike to work" campaign as part of a team and pedalling kilometres for a good cause.
