General information

You must take the following information into account when travelling with us.

Network tickets are valid until the last scheduled stop that can be reached before expiry of the validity period. Network tickets are valid on all regular trains that make scheduled stops within the area of validity of the network. On express trains, the network tickets are only valid up to the last or only from the first scheduled stop within the purchased area of validity. Within the purchased zones, you can make as many journeys as you like in any direction by train and bus until the ticket expires. The last journey must be completed within the validity period.

No guarantee can be given for connections to ZVB buses and other transport companies. In Zug Bahnhofplatz, Landis&Gyr/Bahnhof and Dammstrasse/Bahnhof there is a transfer time of at least 4 minutes between trains and bus lines, and 5 minutes at Metalli. In Baar, Cham, Rotkreuz and Walchwil there is a transfer time between train/bus of 3 minutes and in Arth-Goldau of 4 minutes.

Buy your ticket before departure at a point of sale, at a ticket machine or online. If possible, validate multiple-journey tickets before boarding. Validation on the bus: use the front boarding area.

Mobile ticketing
When using Fairtiq and EasyRide, "Start" must be activated before boarding the vehicle.

Checks are carried out on a random basis. Tickets must be kept until the end of the journey and presented to the ticket inspector on request. A surcharge of at least CHF 100.00 will be levied for persons without a valid ticket. A surcharge of CHF 5.00 will be levied for forgotten personal travelcards and CHF 100.00 for transferable travelcards.
