Living and living on the north building site
On the northern part of the ZVB An der Aa site, a lively urban neighbourhood with residential, service and commercial units is being created.
Zugerland Verkehrsbetriebe AG (ZVB) is ceding the vacant 8,400m2 site to the Zug Pension Fund, which was the winner of the public bidding process.
In accordance with the approved development plan, the centrally located area, which is currently a closed site, will be opened up. The project is based on the guiding principle of a diverse, lively urban neighbourhood in which living, meeting, working and services come together to form a coherent whole. The focus is on a sensible and balanced mix in which residential use plays a central role. According to the current planning status, at least 160 flats are expected. Additional office and service areas will be used where they are provided for under planning law or contribute to increasing the quality of living.
In the next step, the Zug Pension Fund will organise a study contract and further develop the project together with invited architectural firms. Construction is scheduled to start in 2031.
